Rival Court, presented by SimLeagueOS, runs NBA 2K competitive events and the Ascend league at rivalcourt.simleagueos.com. This policy explains what information we collect when you use Rival Court, why we collect it, who can see it, and the choices you have. If anything here is unclear, email us at rivalcourt.ph@gmail.com.

What we collect

  • Your account. Your email address and a password. Your password is stored only as a secure hash by our authentication provider; nobody at Rival Court can see it. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address and profile photo from Google instead of a password.
  • Your profile. What you choose to add: a display name, username, NBA 2K gamertag, bio, avatar link, and social handles such as your Discord username.
  • Your builds. Up to ten MyPLAYER builds: a name, platform, overall, positions, height, weight, archetype, attribute ratings, the gamertag shown on the card, and which build is your primary one.
  • Build screenshots. If you upload a screenshot of your 2K Card, it is read to fill in your build for you to check. We do not keep the image.
  • How you play. Whether you want Comp Runs, the Ascend league or both, and whether you have finished setting up your account.
  • Your competition record. Events you enter, teams and rosters you are part of, matches, results, statistics, ratings, and eligibility decisions.
  • A record of changes. When a record is changed — a result corrected, a role granted, a roster moved, a profile corrected by an administrator — we keep a log of who changed what and when. We also keep a history of changes to names and handles.
  • Technical information. Cookies that keep you signed in. Our hosting and authentication providers keep standard server logs, such as IP address and browser type, for security and reliability. We do not use advertising or analytics trackers.

How we use it

  • To create your account, sign you in and keep your account secure.
  • To run events: registering you, placing you in divisions from your primary build, forming teams, and recording results.
  • To publish results, rankings, ratings and rosters.
  • To let captains, commissioners and administrators reach you about events you are part of.
  • To read a build screenshot you upload, so you do not have to type your build in.
  • To send account emails, such as confirming your email address. We do not send marketing email.
  • To keep competition fair: checking eligibility, keeping a log of changes, and investigating abuse.
  • To meet our legal obligations.

Who can see your information

Anyone, including people who are not signed in, can see your display name, username, gamertag, avatar and bio; your primary build’s height, positions, platform and archetype; and your competition record, ratings, teams and results.

Other signed-in players can also see your social handles, such as your Discord username, so the people running an event can contact you.

Only you, and Rival Court administrators, can see your email address, your full list of builds and their attributes, and your setup choices. Administrators use this access to run the platform and handle support and abuse, and their changes are logged.

We never show your email address, your account roles or the change log on a public page.

Service providers

We use a small number of companies to run Rival Court. They process information only to provide their service to us:

  • Supabase — our database and sign-in system. Data is stored in Supabase’s Singapore region.
  • Vercel — hosts the website.
  • Google — Google sign-in, if you choose to use it, and Gmail, which sends our account emails.
  • Nous Research — runs the OpenAI model that reads a build screenshot when you upload one. The image is sent without your name, email or any account identifier.

We do not sell your information, and we do not share it for advertising.

Information from Google

If you sign in with Google, we ask Google only for your name, email address and profile photo. We use them to create your account, sign you in, and fill in your display name and avatar, which you can change at any time. We do not access your Gmail, contacts, Drive, calendar or any other Google data, and we do not transfer information from Google to anyone except the service providers above, as needed to run Rival Court.

Cookies

Rival Court uses only the cookies needed to keep you signed in. There are no advertising or analytics cookies.

How long we keep it

We keep your account information for as long as your account is open. Build screenshots are not kept at all. If you ask us to delete your account, we delete your profile and builds. Results, ratings and the change log are part of other players’ records and of the competition’s history, so we keep those, with your email address and profile details removed. Our providers keep server logs for limited periods they set.

Your choices and rights

  • You can change your profile and add, edit or remove builds at any time from your Profile page.
  • You can ask for a copy of your information, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete your account by emailing rivalcourt.ph@gmail.com. We aim to respond within 30 days.
  • You may have further rights under the law where you live, including the Philippine Data Privacy Act of 2012. If you are in the Philippines, you can also contact the National Privacy Commission.

Security

Information travels over encrypted connections. Access to your information is limited by rules enforced in our database, and changes to records are logged. No system is perfectly secure; if you believe your account or your information has been exposed, email rivalcourt.ph@gmail.com.

Age

You must be at least 13 years old to create a Rival Court account. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you should have a parent or guardian’s permission. If we learn that an account belongs to someone under 13, we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. If a change is significant, we will also tell signed-in players in Rival Court before it takes effect.
