One against one. Everything that happens in a Duel is yours, which makes it the cleanest individual evidence there is — and the narrowest.

Nobody has been rated in this format yet.

The board fills as people play. A rating needs a real record before it means anything.

What Rival Rating is

What it measures

How a player has performed inside Rival Court, given how much evidence there is. It is built from completed events only — what you won, what you produced, and where you finished — weighted so that your most recent season counts for most.

It is not a prediction, not a scouting grade, and not a measure of anything outside this platform. It has no input from your subscription, your role, or your name, and it decides nothing: no permission, no eligibility, and no club’s promotion depends on it.

What confidence means

Provisional — under 6 games
Too few to mean much. The number is mostly the neutral default of 50, and small differences at this tier are noise.
Developing — under 18 games
Worth reading as a direction rather than as a value.
Established — 18 games or more
Enough for the number to reflect the record. Which is not the same as it being predictive.

Algorithm rival-rating/1. Two ratings from different versions are not comparable, so the version is published beside the numbers rather than left implicit. A rating is deterministic: the same record produces the same number, on any day, and every player’s page lists the reasons behind theirs.
